There are numerous car meets and events scheduled for the weekend of April 18-19 2026 near Tokyo. With a little bit of planning, you can enjoy multiple events on the same day.

Guide to Car Meets Near Tokyo on April 18-19 2026

There will be a total of 29 car meets and events around Japan on the weekend of April 18-19 2026. 5 of the events will happen in/near Tokyo, while 4 events are planned in the Mt. Fuji area. If you have a car and with a little bit of planning, you can enjoy multiple events on the same day.

April 18: Cars & Coffee Fuji and Celica Combination

Cars & Coffee Fuji is a monthly car meet held at Fuji Motorsports Forest adjacent to Fuji Speedway. It is usually held on the 3rd Saturday of each month, although it can be cancelled or changed due to events. The meet starts at 9am and entry is free. A variety of local cars including modern and classic JDMs, Euros, USDM can be seen at the meet. If the weather is good you can expect 50-60 cars. The meet finishes at 11am.

You can have an early lunch and then drive for about 40 minutes to the Mt. Fuji Parking near Fuji-Q Highland amusement park to visit the Celica Meet at the Foot of Mt. Fuji meet. This meet will be from 10am to 3pm and feature mainly Toyota Celicas of the ST160 generation. 110 cars are expected and there is a 1,500JPY visitor fee (cash-only).

One of the largest car meets near Tokyo

April 19: See 600 Cars in a Day! Option 1

Sakura Morning Cruise is one of the largest monthly car meets held near Tokyo with 200-300 cars participating. Although officially a pre-1980 non-modded car meet, a wide variety of cars gather at Gongendo No. 4 Park P1 parking A,B block every month as you can see in the photo. The April edition was moved to April 19 due to the cherry blossom festival at the park. It is about a 50 minute drive from Tokyo using the Tohoku Expressway, and the meet opens at 8:30am. The organizers have a tent near the entrance with a donation can. Make sure to pay at least 200JPY per visitor. The event ends around noon (Note that Sakura Morning Cruise will be cancelled in case of rain).

Depart Sakura Morning Cruise and head next to Ario Ageo Showa/Heisei Old Car Exhibition, a pre-2001 classic car meet held at Ario Ageo shopping mall. Have a quick meal at the food court and head to the east parking lot where 300 cars are expected to participate. The event opens at 10am and closes at 2:45pm. Entry is free.

April 19: See 600 Cars in a Day! Option 2

MOTOR FAN FESTA 2026 and JDM CHRONICLE will be held at Fuji Speedway, featuring a D1GP exhibition, 600 JDM tuned cars, a dyno event, and an exhaust sound contest. Entry is free, but a separate parking fee is required.

Notable mention: Flying Out of Narita on the Evening of April 18?

If you are departing Japan from Narita Airport on the evening of April 18, you could head to Narita in the morning to check you bags and then take a 40 minute taxi ride from the airport to the 13th Sakura Auto History Forum car meet.

This meet will be held at Sakura Kusabue no Oka, a park 20km east of Narita Airport from 9:30am to 3pm. This car meet hosted by the Sakura Motor Club will feature pre-1996 vintage and classic cars (Make sure to discuss return options with the taxi driver). Entry to the park is 400JPY for adults, 100JPY for kids up to 16.
