Car Meet Sunday: Double the Car Culture Action on February 1, 2026!

Get ready for a massive dose of Japanese car culture on February 1, 2026! From a sprawling morning cruise in Saitama to an Italian car festival in Chiba, your Sunday is sorted.

Get ready, gearheads and Japanophiles! Sunday, February 1, 2026, is shaping up to be an absolutely unmissable day for car enthusiasts across the Kanto region. Whether your heart beats for JDM legends, European exotics, or simply the vibrant atmosphere of a passionate car meet, TS Japan Tours has got you covered. We've pinpointed two fantastic events happening simultaneously, each offering a unique slice of Japan's dynamic car culture. So, mark your calendars, because choosing between these two incredible gatherings will be your toughest decision of the day!

Sakura Morning Cruise: A Park Full of Passion (Saitama)

First up, for those who love a relaxed morning meet with hundreds of fellow enthusiasts, head north of Tokyo to Saitama Prefecture for the beloved Sakura Morning Cruise. This open-format monthly meet is a true staple in the Kanto car scene, regularly drawing between 200 to 300 cars of all makes and models (although the name mentions a cruise, it is actually a morning car meet). It is one of the largest repeating scheduled car meets near Tokyo. Imagine a beautiful park setting (in a few months there will be beautiful cherry blossoms!), the crisp winter air, and an eclectic mix of everything from classic JDM to modern marvels and European sports cars. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see a wide variety of vehicles up close, chat with owners, and simply soak in the automotive ambiance.

The event runs from 08:30 to 11:45 at Gongendo No. 4 Park P1 parking A,B block (権現堂公園P1駐車場(A,Bブロック)). Just a heads-up, this popular gathering is cancelled in case of rain, so keep an eye on the weather and the organizer's page!

TIPO New Year Meeting with Ciao! FesTrico 2026: Italian Flair in Chiba

Switching gears and heading southeast of Tokyo into Chiba Prefecture, we find an event tailor-made for lovers of Italian automotive artistry: the TIPO New Year Meeting with Ciao! FesTrico 2026! Sponsored by the European car focused TIPO magazine and FesTrico website, this event transforms the Festival Walk Soga Shared Parking Lot 2 (フェスティバルウォーク蘇我 共用第二駐車場) into a vibrant celebration of all things Italian.

Expect a wide variety of European cars, estimated to also bring together around 200 cars. But it’s not just about the display; this meeting offers a full festival experience! You'll find exciting tuner demo cars showcasing performance upgrades, engaging talk sessions with industry experts, booths selling parts and merchandise, and of course, delicious food trucks to keep you fueled throughout the day. This passionate gathering runs from 09:00 to 15:00, giving you plenty of time to immerse yourself in la dolce vita of Japanese car culture.

Planning Your Automotive Adventure

Navigating to these fantastic events requires a bit of planning. Festival Walk shopping mall is about 70 minutes from Tokyo Station, while Gongendo No. 4 Park is about 2 hours away by train. Remember that February in Japan can still be quite chilly, so dress warmly, especially for outdoor events. Always check the official event pages closer to the date for any last-minute updates, schedule changes, or specific parking instructions. And don't forget your camera – you'll want to capture these incredible automotive moments!

Choose Your Drive or Dream of Both!

Whether you opt for the broad appeal and community spirit of the Sakura Morning Cruise or the specialized passion and festival vibe of the TIPO New Year Meeting, Sunday, February 1, 2026, promises an unforgettable day for car enthusiasts in Japan. Each event offers a unique window into the country's diverse and thriving automotive culture. Can't make both? Don't worry, the Japanese car scene is always buzzing!
